Abstracts Library

UMI Abstracts are available to members of the International Marine Minerals Society.

In 2008, UMI began the transfer of its collection of abstracts to OneMine.org, a newly developed global online digital research center for the entire mining and minerals community. It is a web-based library and over time will include several hundred thousand articles, technical papers, books, and related documents from industry societies around the world.

Searches at OneMine are free, but access to the documents is limited to members of professional societies such as AIME (American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers), SAIMM (Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy), SME (Society of Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration), and IMMS (International Marine Minerals Society) to name a few.

Use the following easy steps:

Go to: OneMine.org.
Click on Register in the upper right hand corner. Select IMMS, enter your IMMS Customer ID Number, and create as a User Name and Password.

For future access, use the Login box in the upper left hand corner to enter User Name and Password.

If you would like access to UMI abstracts (not yet available at OneMine), need your IMMS Customer Number, or have problems logging on to OneMine, please send an email to Karynne Morgan.
