Registration and Guest Function Fees

REGISTRATION FEES (Deadline July 31, 2018)

Several items in the UMC fee schedule below are discounted for current members of the International Marine Minerals Society (IMMS):

• Regular Fee: Member USD 625, Non Member USD 695
  The regular fee covers the welcoming reception, technical sessions and materials, lunches, UMC Banquet, and membership to IMMS for 2019.
• Student Fee: USD 500
  The student fee includes the welcoming reception, technical sessions and materials, lunches, the UMC Banquet, and membership to IMMS for 2019.
• Corporate BASIC Fee: 1020 USD
  The corporate Basic fee covers the welcoming reception, technical sessions and materials, lunches, UMC Banquet, membership to IMMS for 2019 and recognition in media promotions.
• Corporate REGULAR Fee: 1365 USD
  The corporate Silver fee covers the welcoming reception, technical sessions and materials, lunches, UMC Banquet, membership to IMMS for 2019, recognition in media promotions and exhibition space of 6m².
• Corporate PLUS Fee: 2700 USD
  The corporate Gold fee covers two (2) participants for the welcoming reception, technical sessions and materials, lunches, UMC Banquet, membership to IMMS for 2019, recognition in media promotions, and exhibition space of 12 m².
• Geotechnical Field Tour 1 Fee: USD 65

• Geotechnical Field Tour 2 Fee: USD 120
  Friday, September 14 — See the Geotechnical Field Tours informational flyer (PDF, updated 09-10-18).
• UMC 2018 Abstracts (printed volume): USD 60
  Each participant will receive a thumb drive containing the Program Agenda and Abstracts. This fee is for those wishing to purchase a printed volume.
• Late Fee: USD 50
  A late fee of USD 50 is assessed for those registering after July 31, 2018.

GUEST FEE OPTIONS (Deadline July 31, 2018)

Guests and spouses of UMC participants are encouraged to join one or both Day Tours below:

• Spouse/Guest Fee: USD 220
  We welcome spouses or guests of participants. This fee covers the welcoming reception on Monday, September 10 and the UMC banquet on Wednesday, September 12.
• Spouses Day Tour 1 — Sognefjord in a Nutshell, Tuesday, September 11. USD 335
  The Sognefjord, Norway’s longest and deepest fjord, extends more than 200 km to the foot of the Jotunheimen mountains. This area is one of the most beautiful travel destinations in the world offering the very best breathtaking scenaries of Norway. The Sognefjorden is enveloped with exceptional natural beauty, tall mountains, waterfalls and scenic forests. Guided tour through Norway’s deepest and longest fjord, the Sognefjord, and the majestic Flåm railway. Round trip from Bergen–Myrdal–Flåm–Bergen by train and boat. Lunch included. Note: Tour is closed.
• Spouses Day Tour 2 — Morning Walking Tour of Bergen, Wednesday, September 12. USD 30
  This morning tour of the city of Bergen will be guided by a local tour agency, and it will leave you the rest of the afternoon to meander and explore on your own before the start of the UMC Banquet. Note: Tour is closed.

Payments

The deadline for UMI Early Registration is July 31, 2018. Late registrations will incur a late fee of $50. Registration for the Geotechnical Field, Spouses Tours, and other functions after the deadline is not guaranteed.

Payment by Visa or MasterCard credit cards should be completed online (link coming soon). For wire transfers to IMMS (International Marine Minerals Society) please contact the Conference Coordinator for information.

Cancellations

Refunds (less USD 50 processing fee) will be allowed for written cancellations (email or fax) received by the Conference Coordinator by July 31, 2018.
